
BEAR SIGHTINGS
In longer
workshops, I often give participants the homeplay assignment of turning
their experiences into poems. I always do my own assignments. Here’s a poem
I wrote during a recent workshop in the Sierra foothills of California, in
an area where black bears are sometimes seen, inspired by a series of
powerful visionary encounters with the Bear as an ally in healing.

Dreaming with Young Children
Question from Paul F.:
How would you introduce a
young child to the world of dreaming? Or How would I ask my three-year-old
son what he’s dreaming without him having a grasp of what dreams are?
Robert’s reply:
Young children actually
know more about dreams than most adults. In a sense, they have just come out
of the dreamworld.
