The Weave of Magic: The Art of Living by Synchronicity
Synchronicity is meaningful coincidence -- the kind of coincident that can
get us out of a rut and awaken us to a depper meaning in our lives than our everyday
habits and attitudes have made room for. Happy coicidences tend to come thick and
fast at times of change, moments that stir the soul, when our passions are aroused.
They may provide powerful confirmation of a path we are testing, or open a path of which
we were previously unaware. They suggest that when we are most deeply alive, we call
up from the depths of sould the events and situations that are played our around us.
This is the heart of real magic:
to call gifts and powers from a deeper world into our physical reality. By making it
our game to enter actively into the play of synchronicity, we move towards conscious
engagement with the powers of the deeper world.
In this adventure in possibility,
we'll learn how to work with the dreamike symbols and synchronicities of waking life to
receive guidance on our life issues and to re-enchant our world. We'll learn how to
be prepared for the unexpected, to step out of our blocks and runs of "bad luck"
-- and how to get ready to get lucky! We'll play fun intuition games, and practice a
series of techniques for "putting our question to the world."
We'll learn to grad the kairos
moment, the "jump time" of maximum possibility, that opens through chance
encounters, unexpected events on the road, and especially when our plans come unstuck.
We'll rediscover that the passions of the soul work magic, by drawing events and
circumstances into our lives, and that this can change everything.
Tarot for Dreamers
Part One: Tarot, Dreams and
Divination
Learn to read the cards, master two basic spreads, and journey through the gateway of
daily and Lifetime cards to understand the larger forces at work in our lives. We'll
practice a fun, everyday version of "lightning dreamwork" with the cards,
liberating ourselves and our partners from the controlling-psychic and over-analytical modes of interpretation while releasing the full
power of untuition and our ability to put ourselves in tune with higher guidance.
We'll learn how to ask the cards for a second opinion on our dreams (and vice versa).
Part Two: Tarot
Gates: Paths of the Major Arcana on the Tree of Life
We will study the connection between Tarot and Kabbalah, and make a series of journeys --
aided by shamanic drumming and protected by the guardian energies of the circle -- along
paths defined by the Major Arcana on the Tree of Life. This is an ancient and
powerful method for traveling at will to the astral plane and beyond, to enter places of
initiation and training where contact with higher teachers is possible.
