The Power of Active Dreaming

An introduction to Active Dreaming, Robert Moss's powerful, original synthesis of modern dreamwork and ancient shamanic practices.  Robert answers many questions about dreaming and explains the magical art of dream travel.   With inspiring stories of how dreams guided Harriet Tubman through her heroic journeys on the underground railroad, Robert illustrates the great potential that awaits us in our dreams.  We'll learn how to grow better relationships and richer lives by sharing our dreams through the Lightning Dreamwork process -- a quick, fun and respectful way to share dreams, receive non-intrusive feedback and move towards creative action to honor our dreams, bringing their magic into the world.  We'll learn how to use dreams to develop our intuition and creativity, and how to bring healing energy from the dreamworld into our everyday lives. This program is offered both as an evening seminar and as a one-day workshop.

Honoring the Secret Wishes of the Soul

In the Huron language, ondinnonk means “a secret wish of the soul as expressed in a dream”. The word takes us to the heart of healing. The ancient dream healers understood that we are often out of touch, in our surface mind, with what we truly desire, on the level of heart and soul. If we fail to follow the secret wishes of the soul, part of our vital energy goes away. We become prone to illness and depression; we lose our magic. Through dreams, in which we may travel far beyond the body and the physical plane, we find our soulmates and our soul’s purpose. By celebrating our dreams, and helping them to take root in the world, we become whole and well, and live our deeper story.

In this high-energy, fun-packed introduction to the core techniques of Active Dreaming – Robert Moss’ original synthesis of modern dreamwork and ancient shamanism - learn to find and fulfill your heart’s desires with the help of a warm and supportive circle. Learn a fun, fast way to share dreams and take creative action to bring their energy and insight into waking life that you can practice anywhere, anytime. Discover how use dreams for guidance and healing, how to dream the future and change it for the better, how to free the creator and healer in you – and live a life filled with natural magic.

Healing through Dreams

Our dreams show us what is going on inside our bodies and what we need to stay well. When we do become ill, our dreams give us fresh and powerful imagery for self-healing. By working with personal imagery – and changing the images in positive ways – we can actually create a new blueprint for the body. When we learn to go back inside our dreams and dream them onward, we open paths of healing for others and ourselves. Dreaming is central to soul recovery – reclaiming vital energy we lost through pain or heartbreak, guilt or addiction.

In this exciting, high-energy program you’ll learn:

--How to improve your dream recall
--How to seek healing and guidance through dream incubation

--
How to build creativity and intuition through dream journaling
--
The Lightning Dreamwork technique – a fun, high-energy way to open a safe space to share  dreams, receive helpful feedback and move towards creative action that you can practice with intimate friends or complete strangers in a few minutes just about anywhere
--
The Dream Reentry technique – how to go back inside your dreams to clarify messages, move beyond fear, talk to dream characters and have wonderful fun in a larger reality
--
How to work with your personal “dream doctor” and use dreams for self-diagnosis and as sources of powerful imagery to aid in healing and recovery

Dreaming with the Departed

A Seneca Indian prophet observed that “the dimension that divides the living from the dead is exactly as wide as the edge of a maple leaf.” Image7.gif (1811 bytes)

In this important class, we’ll learn that:

--Dream encounters with the departed are entirely natural.
--
Dreaming is the easiest form of communication with the Other Side, and it gives us a direct line.
--
Dreams of the departed give us first-hand knowledge of life beyond death.
--
Departed friends or ancestors may come to play the role of personal angels, passing on life-helping counsel and psychic information.
--
Dreams show us when the departed need help from us, because they are lost or confused, mired in old addictions and attachments – or do not even realize that they have died.
--
Dreamwork with the dying can help prepare them for the big journey and provides clarity and courage for approaching the last stages of life as an opportunity for growth, resolving unfinished business and healing old wounds.

Navigating by Synchronicity

Do you pay attention to coincidence?  By monitoring the play of coincidence and the symbolic resonance of incidents in everyday life, we can tap into the deeper logic of events, receive extraordinary counsel, and have wonderful fun.   Navigating by synchronicity is the dreamer's way of operating in waking life.   In this entertaining, high-energy workshop, we'll learn how to get guidance on our life issues by playing synchronicity games like "putting our questions to the world" and tracking the messages and opportunities that come through chance encounters and unexpected occurrences.  We'll learn how to live more richly and deeply by becoming open to the unexpected and playing with the Trickster -- who is our devil when we insist on following old road maps, but our friend when we are ready to improvise and change.  This is a path of natural magic, and when we follow it we'll find that we move beyond self-limiting beliefs into a world filled with juice and possibility.

Dreaming the Future

Our dreams are constantly coaching us for challenges and opportunities that lie ahead of us on the roads of life. It’s possible that we rehearse everything that will take place in the future in our dreams, though we forget most of it – until later events catch up with a dream, and we experience that sense of déjà vu.

We see things in our dreams that later happen; this is called precognition. We also see things that may or may not happen, depending on whether we do something with the information. We preview a car accident we may be able to avoid, if we use the dream as a travel advisory. We get a glimpse of our ideal job, or the perfect home, or even the partner of our soul – but that fabulous dream may not manifest in the world unless we get the details straight and take appropriate action.

Our dreams start preparing us for what life will give us months, years, even decades ahead of events. When he was just fourteen, Winston Churchill told a school friend at Harrow that he had dreamed that one day he would be required to lead the country and “save the Capital and the Empire.”

In this fun, high-energy workshop, we’ll learn to harvest guidance from our night dreams and use them to make better choices. We’ll also play intuition games and embark on wide-awake visionary journeys to scout out the possible future, for ourselves, our families and our world. If we don’t know where we are going, we are likely to end up where we are headed. The future we can see is often a future we can reshape for the better.

The Three "ONLY" Things - Dreams, Coincidence and Imagination

There are three things of incalculable importance in our lives, about which we tend to say it's "only" this or that.

We say “it’s only a dream”, yet in our dreams we have access to rich sources of healing and creativity. In our dreams, we are coached on how to handle challenges and opportunities that lie in the future; we become time travelers and communicate with spiritual teachers and allies.

We say “it’s just coincidence”, yet a coincidence may be a signal from a deeper world, and a chance encounter may be an amazing opportunity. By monitoring the play of coincidence, we awaken to a hidden logic of events, and gain access to extraordinary counsel. Synchronicity opens paths we never noticed before, and draws new people and events towards us according to our passions and our willingness to go with the flow.

We say, “it’s only imagination,” yet through the practice of imagination, we can help to heal our bodies and move towards the manifestation of our heart’s desires. As Tagore said, with a poet’s insight, “the stronger the imagination, the less imaginary the results.”

In this high-energy class we'll learn fun techniques for empowering and healing our lives, every day, through those three “only” things - dreams, coincidence and imagination. This program is offered both as an evening seminar and as a high-powered 2-day workshop.

The Practice of Imagination

The greatest crisis in our lives is a crisis of imagination. We get stuck, and bind ourselves to the wheel of repetition, because we refuse to re-imagine our situation. We live with a set of negative or confining images and pronounce them “reality.”

To live the fullest, juiciest lives, we need to invest our energy and attention in a form of active imagination that dares to re-vision everything.

In this fun, high-energy workshop, we’ll learn how the practice of imagination can help us to heal our bodies and our lives and re-create our world. We’ll discover the Seven Open Secrets of Imagination:

  1. If we can picture our blocks, we can play with them or move beyond them
  2. The body believes in images and they can help it to heal and stay well
  3. If you can see your destination, you are better than halfway there
  4. The Big Story is hunting us
  5. There is a place of imagination, and it is entirely real
  6. We can transfer a vision to someone in need of a vision
  7. The stronger the imagination, the less imaginary the results

We’ll learn from masters of the imagination like Leonardo da Vinci, who gave his apprentices a technique for “arousing the mind to various inventions,” and Mark Twain, who found universes within the very small, and Joan of Arc and Winston Churchill, who were able to transfer their visions to mobilize whole peoples.

We’ll learn how to build a home in the imagination, and use it as a place of healing and relaxation and creative inspiration – and how to bring the best things we grow there into embodied life.

Keys to Creative Vision

In this exciting, high-energy program, we'll learn how dreams are a "creative studio" not only for artists and writers and musicians but for all of us in process of bringing something new into our world. We'll learn to become wide-awake dreamers by monitoring the symbols and synchronicities of everyday life, which helps us to engage the law of attraction and manifest the truth that "the passions of the soul work magic". We'll discover that if we can see our destination, we are better than halfway there – and will practice simple exercises to develop personal images for healing and for growing and strengthening a vision of creative life possibilities.

In Robert's native Australia, the Aborigines say that the Big stories are hunting the right people to tell them. We'll learn that dreams put us in touch with our bigger stories and our larger life purpose. When we can make a connection between life's everyday dramas and a bigger story, we find courage and direction for whatever life throws at us.

The Key Habits of Creative People

Are you ready to claim your creative power? Would you like to be living a more spontaneous, richer and juicier life? Are you willing to unlock your inner creator and give birth to something new and original, in whatever field is calling you? You don’t need to be a Mozart or an Einstein in order to create. You do need to develop creative habits. In this fun, high-energy program with the bestselling author of The Three "Only" Things, you’ll learn the key habits of creative people:

  1. Find and follow your passion – turn work into play.
  2. Make room to create – simplify, make private space, know when to turn up the pressure and when to turn it off.
  3. Solve problems in your sleep.
  4. Make connections other people don’t see.
  5. Get ready to get lucky – grab unexpected opportunities and turn accidents into inventions.
  6. Find a creative friend – the person who’ll give you helpful feedback and support you as you change and grow.
  7. Persevere – treat setbacks as opportunities, and mistakes as experiments

WAYMAKING
The Practical Power of Visioning

Would you like to claim the power of your imagination to bring your heart’s desires into reality? Are you willing to unlock all of your creative energy to give birth to something new and original, in whatever field is calling you?

In this entertaining, high-energy program, you’ll learn how to envision and fulfill your deepest desires by applying wisdom and techniques used by ancient Polynesian “wayfinders.” These navigators sailed thousands of miles across the Pacific without compasses or instruments of any kind, voyaging from Tahiti to settle the islands of Hawaii. How did they do it?  T
